Crochet star garland.

Well this weekend was my weekend off (yippee!!!) and I completed my goal of finishing the star garland

Here it is in all its glory!

The pattern in a Nicki Trench one which I had in an old Mollie Makes, It is from the book Cute and Easy Crocheted Baby Clothes.

I used some left over yarn from a blanket that I made, mostly Stylecraft Special DK.

I would quite like to keep it but it is a gift for a work colleagues baby who will be 1 next month, lets hope she likes it as much as I do!

It was quite an easy make, which I enjoyed doing. Now to decide on my next quick project whilst continuing to work on my granny squares.

It was a good end to the weekend finishing this project. I will share my car boot finds with you later this week.

Crochet: Works in Progress

Well as I mentioned I love a bit of crochet.

I learnt to crochet a while ago at a local wool shop called Marmalade Yarns as a stress reliever from my old job.

Since then I have kept it going and made several blankets for friends and myself.

Currently I am working on a traditional Granny Square blanket.

As you can see from the pictures it is going to be a bright one.

Am aiming for 120 squares, this will be my biggest blanket to date!

I am now halfway through which is a relief!


Am also working on a Nicki Trench star garland from Mollie Makes for a work colleagues daughters 1st birthday. This should be completed by the end of the weekend. Will post pictures next week.

Did I mention I have also taught myself to knit? Thats deserves a whole post of its own!

This is going to be a blog to share my thrifty vintage finds and also to share what I have/am making.

I am a 30 year old lady (for this read girl) who is slightly obsessed with cool old stuff and also enjoys making things ( i.e a crochet addict!)

I have a lovely husband who puts up with all this!
